What this site does, and how it handles data

What this site is

TT Dogam is a database for comparing table tennis blade and rubber specifications in one place. It currently covers 229 products. Korean-language information on equipment is scattered across brand sites, so this started as an effort to collect what manufacturers publish and present it in a single consistent format.

Beyond listing specs, it offers Find My Blade & Rubber, which takes your current setup and the problems you are having and works out which direction your equipment should move, and pairing suggestions for matching blades with rubbers.

Where the data comes from

  • Specifications — thickness, ply construction, carbon placement, sponge hardness, weight and country of manufacture come from each brand’s official site. A source link is kept for every product.
  • Official performance figures — values the manufacturer publishes itself, such as Butterfly’s reaction and vibration ratings or Nittaku’s speed and spin. 123 products currently have them.
  • Player equipment — compiled from public sources such as tournament broadcasts and official interviews, with the date of verification shown.
  • Prices — manufacturer list price alongside the Coupang selling price. These are not live prices and may differ from what you see at checkout.

Principles

  • We do not invent missing numbers. If a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the field stays empty. We tried estimating blade spin statistically; cross-validation scored worse than simply filling in the mean, so we dropped it.
  • We do not mix scales. Butterfly blades use 1–15, Butterfly rubbers 0–100, XIOM rubbers a 10-point scale. Nittaku does not publish the maximum of its scale at all, so its figures are shown as plain numbers with no bar or chart. Plotting different scales together makes one brand look artificially superior.
  • We say why a value is missing. We distinguish “not published by the manufacturer” from “researched but not found”.
  • We show sample sizes. Where a figure comes from user ratings, the number of raters is shown. Values based on three or fewer ratings are closer to personal opinion and are hidden.

How this site makes money

The site carries advertising and participates in the Coupang Partners programme, earning a commission on purchases made through product links. Commission does not affect rankings or recommendations — those are calculated from specification figures and the conditions you enter. See the privacy policy for details.

Found something wrong?

If a specification does not match reality, or you represent a manufacturer or distributor and would like a correction, please let us know and we will verify and update it. A contact channel is being set up and will be listed on this page once it is ready.
