About this product
A dedicated reverse-penhold blade. Standard penhold grips (including Chinese-style) usually hit with one face, but reverse-penhold rotates the wrist to use both — which is why this blade is cut round at 161×141mm. A shorter turning radius than a square shakehand blade makes flipping sides faster.
5 plies — 3 wood plus 2 arylate-carbon sheets — at 6.4mm. Reverse-penhold blades tend to run thin and light to ease the wrist load; this one sits on the thicker side instead, trading some of that lightness for the reaction the carbon adds.
