Hurricane Long 5 W968 Golden Slam
A W968 premium-grade wood blade commemorating Ma Long's double Grand Slam, built from selected top-grade material with an outstanding balance.
About this product
The W968 edition commemorating Ma Long’s Golden Slam: five-ply with inner arylate carbon at 5.9mm, top-grade timber, ₩1,000,000.
Another Golden Slam commemorative exists at ₩480,000 (Long 5 Gold Slam). Both are five-ply inner arylate at 5.9mm; the differences are timber grade and the W968 designation. ₩520,000 is attached to those two things.
At this price the object is effectively a collectible. Judged on playing results, we have no basis for describing a performance gap against the ₩360,000 tier — because DHS publishes no performance figures, nothing exists to support the claim that the dearer blade plays better.
Wanting one anyway is a perfectly coherent reason to buy. What this site cannot do is justify the spend on performance grounds.
