About this product
Suprus single-ply, no carbon, around ₩35,000 — the cheapest XIOM blade on this site. Using suprus instead of hinoki looks like one of the ways the price was brought down (different timber species carry different density and reaction, and cheaper woods than hinoki are typically chosen for this tier).
A low-cost, carbon-free single ply suits a beginner who just needs to get comfortable holding a shakehand blade before investing further. This reads as a product built around accessibility rather than performance.
