Omega 8 Pro vs Vega Pro H — twice the price, what for

Manufacturer figures

Both products use the same manufacturer scale, so these figures can be read side by side.

What actually differs

XIOM publishes only two official figures for rubbers: spin and speed. There is no control entry in their system, so which of these is easier to handle cannot be answered from the manufacturer’s numbers. That limit is worth stating up front.

Within what is published, the two share the same official spin figure and the same sponge hardness. Speed is the only official difference — and the price is close to double.

So what Omega 8 Pro offers is a faster ball, and beyond that there is nothing the official material confirms. Topsheet compound and sponge cell structure are not published as figures, so we cannot speak to them either.

If you are choosing a XIOM rubber for the first time, starting with Vega Pro H is the sensible order. But both sit at 47.5°, so the lower price does not make it forgiving. Without a fast swing, neither will grip well.
