About this product

XIOM publishes only two official figures for rubbers: spin and speed. There is no control entry in their system at all, so whether this rubber is easy to handle cannot be answered from the manufacturer’s numbers. Hardness and thickness have to stand in.

At 47.5° the sponge sits at the top of XIOM’s range. That needs a developed swing to compress; before that the ball tends to skid across the topsheet. Offering MAX as the only thickness points the same way — no thin option means a deliberately narrow target user.

Price is the sticking point. Within XIOM’s own range, Vega Pro H has the same official spin figure and the same hardness at half the money. The only difference the official figures show is speed. Whether that gap is worth double is something you settle by hitting with them.

What the numbers say

Inverted, 47.5° sponge. Its speed of 6.0 ranks 1 of 8 rubbers, among the very highest. Its catapult & click, by contrast, is 6.4 — on the high side. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.
