Fan Zhendong CNF
A state-of-the-art blade using Carbon Nano Fiber (CNF) technology. Extreme reaction speed together with outstanding ball control.
💡 Who this suits
Good reaction speed, well suited to attacking play, with a moderately crisp feel that works across a range of styles.
About this product
CNF is cellulose nanofibre — a plant-derived material rather than carbon, and uncommon in the Butterfly range.
The figures show what that changes. Reaction of 11.7 is effectively level with Fan Zhendong ALC (11.8), while vibration is 0.8 lower at 9.5. The price, ₩420,000, is more than double the ALC version. The extra money buys feel, not power.
Lower vibration means less shock in the hand and a softer impression, but also less information about where on the face you made contact. That is a preference rather than a merit, and it is the hardest kind of blade to choose without hitting with one.
It shares its exact reaction and vibration figures with Revoldia CNF, which uses the same material. The difference between them is the plywood count — five plies against three.
What the numbers say
Outer 5-ply + 2 CNF plies 5.7mm. Its reaction of 7.8 ranks 16 of 46 blades, on the high side. Flex sits in the middle. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.

Where this blade sits
Reaction and vibration figures Butterfly publishes for 46 of its blades (official 1–15 scale). Further right means more reaction; higher means more vibration. Neither axis is "better" — they describe character. Other brands use different scales and are not mixed in.
