Gold Arc 9
Takes reaction speed and friction one step further than the Gold Arc 8.
About this product
The senior model in the Gold Arc family, and the most transparently labelled product on this site: hardness is given as "37 (German scale 50) / 38 (German scale 52)", quoting both standards together.
That matters more than it looks. Gold Arc 8, in the same family, is listed simply as 47.5 and 50 — those are German-scale figures. Gold Arc 9 leads with the Chinese figure of 37 and puts the German 50 in brackets. So 37 on Gold Arc 9 and 50 on Gold Arc 8 describe roughly the same stiffness. Judging by the leading number would tell you Gold Arc 9 is far softer, which is the opposite of the truth.
It is a concrete demonstration that mixed hardness standards are not only a cross-brand hazard — they can appear inside one family from one manufacturer.
Thickness is offered only at 2.1mm, with none of the "medium / thick" choice given on Gold Arc 8 and 5.
What the numbers say
Inverted, 37 (50 German scale) / 38 (52 German scale) sponge. Its elasticity of 9.7 ranks 2 of 7 rubbers, on the high side. It is on the less tacky side. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.

Where this rubber sits among DHS rubbers
Positions read from the rubber positioning chart DHS Korea publishes (7 rubbers). The original has no numbers, so only relative position is meaningful. Further right is tackier; higher means more elastic. Variants that differ only in sponge colour or grade are plotted by DHS as a single point, so they overlap.
