Fastarc G-1 ABS 40+
The player-issue version of Fastarc G-1, tuned for the 40+ celluloid-free ball. Its high 50-degree hardness produces powerful speed and spin.
About this product
The player-issue specification of Fastarc G-1. Spin 13 and speed 15.50, both slightly above the standard G-1 at 12.5 and 15.00.
The hardness is the detail to notice. It is quoted only as 50, with no Chinese-scale equivalent, whereas the standard G-1 reads "37.5 (German scale 47.5)". On the German scale, that is 2.5 degrees harder — and that is where the higher figures come from. A harder sponge returns more energy once it is fully compressed.
So the improved numbers are conditional. Producing that spin of 13 requires a swing that compresses 50 degrees completely; without one, this performs worse than the standard G-1. Read "player issue" as a usage condition rather than a grade.
It costs ₩5,000 more than the standard version. The small price gap is the trap — the hardness difference is felt far more than the price difference suggests.
What the numbers say
Inverted, 50° sponge. Its spin of 9.0 ranks 4 of 23 rubbers, among the very highest. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.

Where this rubber sits among Nittaku inverted rubbers
Speed and spin figures Nittaku publishes for 14 of its inverted rubbers. Nittaku does not state a maximum, so read this as relative position within the family. Further right is faster; higher means more spin. Other brands use different scales and are not mixed in.
