Genection V2C
A Genection derivative adding a lightly tacky compound to the dual sponge for longer contact with the ball, reducing the effect of the opponent's spin and easing net-play control.
About this product
The lightly tacky version of Genection. Same price (₩138,000) and same hardness (42.5) as the standard model, with spin 0.5 higher at 14 and speed 0.5 lower at 16.
That trade is exactly what adding tack does. A tacky topsheet holds the ball on the surface longer, which raises spin and reduces the speed it comes off at. It is a rare case where changing only the topsheet over the same sponge is visible in the numbers.
"Lightly tacky" aims at the ground between Chinese tacky and European tensor. If you want Hurricane-like rotation but cannot live with how little the ball travels, this middle ground may be the answer.
Since it costs the same as the standard Genection, the decision is not about budget. It is whether you will trade 0.5 of speed for 0.5 of spin.
What the numbers say
Inverted, 42.5° (52.5° German scale) sponge. Its spin of 9.7 ranks 2 of 23 rubbers, among the very highest. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.

Where this rubber sits among Nittaku inverted rubbers
Speed and spin figures Nittaku publishes for 14 of its inverted rubbers. Nittaku does not state a maximum, so read this as relative position within the family. Further right is faster; higher means more spin. Other brands use different scales and are not mixed in.
