Hammond CR
The control-oriented model of the Hammond series, using a composite sponge of IE (energy-intensive) and AC (active charge).
About this product
The softest Nittaku rubber here at 32.5 degrees, with correspondingly modest figures — spin 10.5, speed 14.5.
Soft with low figures means a low ceiling, but that position has a use. With a slower swing, a hard sponge never compresses at all and produces neither spin nor speed. At that stage a sponge as soft as 32.5 genuinely makes a better ball.
At ₩63,000 it is inexpensive among Nittaku tensors — ₩20,000 below Fastarc G-1 — and for a beginner it is often the better of the two.
You will outgrow it. That is the job of this hardness bracket, not a failing.
What the numbers say
Inverted, 32.5° sponge. Its speed of 8.8 ranks 8 of 23 rubbers, on the high side. The other axes sit at a similar level, so the profile is well balanced. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.

Where this rubber sits among Nittaku inverted rubbers
Speed and spin figures Nittaku publishes for 14 of its inverted rubbers. Nittaku does not state a maximum, so read this as relative position within the family. Further right is faster; higher means more spin. Other brands use different scales and are not mixed in.
