Fastarc G-1
The signature spin rubber of Nittaku's Fastarc series, using a tension spin sheet for strong power that holds up in rallies and excellent grip.
About this product
The flagship of Nittaku’s tensor range. The published figures are 12.5 for spin and 15.00 for speed — but Nittaku does not state what the maximum is. Whether 15 is out of 20 or out of 16 is unknown, which is why these numbers must not be compared across brands.
Within Nittaku they do compare. Among the three Fastarc rubbers, G-1 has the highest spin at 12.5 and S-1 the lowest at 11.75. The G in the name reads as pointing toward spin.
Hardness is quoted as 37.5 with the German equivalent, 47.5, in brackets. That dual notation is what makes cross-brand comparison possible here — XIOM’s Omega 8 Pro is 47.5 on the German scale, so the two are effectively the same stiffness. Few brands publish both, which makes this unusually helpful labelling.
It does not grip like a tacky rubber, but it produces more spin than most tensors. It is a sensible move from a European tensor when you want a little more rotation.
What the numbers say
Inverted, 37.5° (47.5° German scale) sponge. Its spin of 8.6 ranks 6 of 23 rubbers, on the high side. The other axes sit at a similar level, so the profile is well balanced. Based on the manufacturer’s published figures.

Where this rubber sits among Nittaku inverted rubbers
Speed and spin figures Nittaku publishes for 14 of its inverted rubbers. Nittaku does not state a maximum, so read this as relative position within the family. Further right is faster; higher means more spin. Other brands use different scales and are not mixed in.
